The Lost

She moved back home “for a week.” That was three months ago.
 
Clara left behind the fast pace, the smart outfits, and the emotionally unavailable barista (but barely). Now she’s house-sitting her aunt’s cat, pretending she knows how to work at a small-town library, and having long internal debates over whether or not kombucha is an acceptable dinner.
 
But somewhere between nosy neighbors and mystery notes slipped between book pages, Clara starts to wonder—maybe “lost” isn’t such a bad place to be after all.
